Once again, I have joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. For several years now I have supported Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help.

In 2019 I had an abnormal mammogram followed by a lumpectomy that was diagnosed as a pre-cancerous lesion. It was at my follow-up mammogram w/ ultrasound in 2020 that breast cancer officially arrived on my doorstep, this time in the other breast. I got my diagnosis just after 4th of July and thus began my journey with the necessary surgeries, treatments and of course the healing that occurs beyond that. As a result, I am even more invested in supporting Komen's mission and contributions to those dealing with breast cancer. I am also honored to have been nominated and selected to represent this year as a Komen Warrior in Pink!

I was very fortunate to have an early diagnosis, good medical insurance coverage and a network of friends and family to support me. Unfortunately, so many are not in my situation! 

Today's treatments are effective but still tough to endure and much more research is needed to not just treat it more effectively but find a way to end breast cancer. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
