My Story.. I don't usually post my personal health issues but I'm posting for a cause..on March 26 we found out I have invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2. It was scary, emotional & a lot of anger to say the least. But .. I'm one of the lucky ones that we caught it early with a simple mammogram. I've had surgery and I'm waiting for the pathology report to see what my next step is. My surgeon is very confident that he got all the tumor & that the rest is all prevention.. my purpose of this post is to please ask all women 40 & over & the younger women with a history of cancer in their family to get their mammograms. Early detection is the key. Mammograms are covered by most insurances & relatively inexpensive. We have come along way with technology such as the ultrasound 3D mammograms & MRI's ..but we have a ways to go to continue with treatment & prevention. I'm walking again for the Susan g.
