This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk for two reasons. First, because I am a fifteen year breast cancer survivor, and secondly for my daughter Valerie who passed away on April 7, 2022 from another form of cancer. She walked with me every year in support of my fight against this terrible disease. I walk for her! 

 A little of my story!

On January 6, 2009 I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductual Carcinoma Stage 2. Following my surgery in February a partial mastectomy and auxiliary lymph node dissection, I started 16 rounds of chemotherapy in March, followed by radiation treatments five days a week for six weeks.  I'm thankful today that I'm still cancer free!
