Why do I walk? Why do I fundraise? Let me tell you:

As a grateful 14 year breast cancer survivor, walking and fundraising for breast cancer research and awareness year is my way to give back and “pay it forward”.

My first walk (a Komen 3-Day) was in 2012. I look forward to celebrating my 72nd birthday with another season of fundraising walks. I walk in the belief that the funds we raise together can and will make a difference.

I am registered for the Komen DMV Tri-State MORE THAN PINK 5k Walk on September 8th.The walk and celebrations are in Freedom Plaza, DC. Join us! 

Your donation helps us get ONE step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today. Komen provides emotional support via a helpline, financial assistance through treatment assistance programs and helps navigate patients through their care journey.

Together, ONE by ONE, we can show breast cancer patients, survivors, and thrivers there’s a whole community standing (and walking!) by their side, ONE step at a time!
