This year, I continue to walk for something incredibly personal to me.

In 2020, we created team Breast Friends 808 as a way to bring people together to support those affected by breast cancer. What started as something deeply personal has grown into a community of survivors, fighters, family, friends, and supporters who come together each year to raise awareness, remember, celebrate, and stand beside one another.

I am also incredibly proud to be walking alongside my mom as fellow breast cancer survivors, and together, we are the captains of Breast Friends 808. I really appreciate being able to share this journey with her and walk side by side for a cause that means so much to both of us.

Having gone through breast cancer and previous surgeries, we know firsthand that its about so much more than a diagnosis. Its the fear, the strength, the support, the hope, and the people who stand beside you through it all.

And now, I am walking for my kids. I want them, and future generations, to live in a world where breast cancer is no longer something families have to fear, where better treatments exist, no one has to face it alone, and one day, breast cancer is a thing of the past.

I may not be able to end breast cancer on my own, but I can walk, share my story, raise awareness, and help support the research and resources that bring us closer to that future.
