Our team was created for a cause that has become deeply personal.

This year, our team is participating in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in honor of everyone impacted by breast cancer, but especially because one of our own is currently facing this disease.

I was diagnosed with a grade 2, 3.2 cm invasive mammary carcinoma with mixed ductal and lobular features. My diagnosis also included pleomorphic lobular carcinoma in situ and lymphovascular space invasion. Since hearing the words "you have breast cancer," life has changed in ways I never could have imagined.

Through this journey, I have experienced firsthand the fear, uncertainty, difficult decisions, and overwhelming emotions that come with a breast cancer diagnosis. But I have also experienced the incredible strength that comes from having family, friends, and a community standing beside you.

That's why our team is walking-to support those currently battling breast cancer, celebrate survivors, remember loved ones we've lost, and help create a future where no one has to face this disease.

The funds our team raises will help Susan G. Komen continue its mission to end breast cancer forever by supporting groundbreaking research and providing critical services such as patient navigation, emotional support, education, and financial assistance for those in treatment.

Ending breast cancer requires all of us. Together, we can bring hope to those facing breast cancer today while helping fund the breakthroughs of tomorrow.
