Our Story

Walking for Hope, Strength, and Survivors

This walk is deeply personal to me, as I know it is for so many others. My grandmother, Sharon Hannah, was diagnosed with breast cancer at a very young age. Seeing the impact it had on her and our family showed me just how important awareness, support, and research truly are.

Today, I work closely with women who have been affected by breast cancer and other life-changing diagnoses. Every day, I witness their strength, resilience, and courage as they navigate treatment, recovery, and life beyond cancer. These incredible women inspire me, and I hope to give back to them in any way I can.

By participating in the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk, I am helping raise funds to support breast cancer research, patient services, education, and advocacy. Every step we take and every dollar we raise brings us closer to a future without breast cancer.

Thank you for supporting our team and helping make a difference in the lives of so many mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, friends, and loved ones affected by this disease.

Please consider making a donation or sharing our fundraiser with others. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact.

Together, we can walk for hope, honor survivors, remember those we've lost, and work toward a world without breast cancer.

With gratitude,

Angelita Ortega
