My Story
This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
This cause is incredibly personal to me. My mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer when I was a senior in high school. She fought, went into remission, and less than five years later, the cancer returned. I was only 25, and she was just 53. She faced her fight with incredible courage and strength.
In her memory, I got a tattoo that matches the one she wore on her wrist. Alongside it is her actual signature, taken from a birthday card she gave me. Of everything on my body, it is without a doubt my favorite because I get to carry a little piece of her with me every day.
Her experience is why awareness, early detection, prevention, and continued research mean so much to me. It’s also why this walk is more than just a fundraiser.
We walk for those fighting today. We walk for survivors. We walk for the families standing beside them. And we walk in memory of the people we wish were still walking beside us.
Whether you join Team Pivot, donate, or simply help spread the word, every bit of support matters.
Will you please join me in this fight by making your donation today?
