Everyone we know has been affected by Cancer. For me and my family, we have lost 2 very dear women to breast cancer. My grandmother, Lenora, and my great aunt Virginia. My aunt Virgie was a survivor of breast cancer for many years and introduced me and my family to Susan G Komen Race for the Cure, where we would gather every year to walk in support of her journey. It was a time to celebrate her journey, family, and life. Unfortunately we lost her to her battle with cancer. In May 2017, my grandmother Lenora was diagnosed with breast cancer that traveled to her brain. She didn’t have time to even fight it. We lost her on June 22, 2017. And if you know me, you know how much she meant to me and my family. This year, I choose to fundraise and walk in support of both my grandmother and my aunt, and any woman who is battling, has fought, and or lost their battle to cancer. Help me help others.
