On March 17, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and 2026 officially became the most difficult year of my life. I opted for more aggressive treatment and underwent a double mastectomy on May 12. I was lucky enough to be well taken care of by my mother and my partner, Andrew, but it was the hardest recovery I have ever been through. I am so grateful that my surgeon removed all the cancer from my right breast and everything following surgery has been the best news possible. 

I am also lucky that I have excellent insurance and support through my employer (though I didn’t realize how good until this year). However, so many women across the country must battle this disease without insurance and with a job that is less than supportive. So I am raising money to help those women get through this like I did. I hope you will join my fight!
