My Story
After a nearly 10 year hiatus, I am once again able to walk in the Susan G. Komen, More Than Pink Walk as a member of the Sole Sisters.
The Sole Sisters were founded by Jayne and Jodi, sisters of my dear friend Jude, who lost her battle in 2014. She was a warrior who fought with every ounce she had. I walk in memory of Jude, and in honor of millions (literally!) of survivors like myself, now 21 years cancer free!
The Sole Sisters will be doing a modified walk as we Paint the Point Pink in Groton Long Point, Connecticut, along the beautiful Connecticut Coastline. Our route is about 2 miles.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them.
