Why I walk
Why do I walk? For my sister Jude, for my mother Sylvia, for my friends Sandy and Nancy, and unfortunately the list goes on an on. That has to stop.
20 years ago, my sister Jayne and I founded The Sole Sisters while Jude was going through treatment. Feeling powerless, we had to do SOMETHING. We have have been walking, running, and raising funds in her memory ever since. Our team has ranged in size from 4 people to 30 but always with the mission to End. This. Now.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them.
