My Story
This October 25, I am stepping back onto the pavement for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in memory of my mom, Mina Medley, who passed away from breast cancer in 2015.
After two years of being a top individual fundraiser, I stepped away last year. It was the 10-year anniversary of losing my mom—a quiet, heavy milestone I needed to honor privately. But now, I am back, refreshed, and ready to turn that reflection into action. I'm aiming to raise more money than ever to ensure no other family has to endure this loss.
I am dedicated to Komen’s mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help to get there. Your tax-deductible gift directly funds breakthrough research and provides life-saving assistance to those facing breast cancer today. From emotional care via the Komen helpline to critical financial assistance and care navigation, every dollar ensures patients never have to walk this path alone.
Ending breast cancer takes all of us. Together, let’s show patients and families the power of this community standing by their side.
Will you join me in honoring my mom and helping end breast cancer by making a donation today?
