Team Breast Friends

Our Story

As many of you are aware, I received a diagnosis of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma - Breast Cancer in 2021. Nearly five years have passed since that moment. Receiving that phone call, right after celebrating one of my child's school culmination, was the most devastating experience. The flood of thoughts that overwhelmed me was relentless. The uncertainty of what lay ahead, or whether I would be present to witness more of my children's milestones, was inescapable. Cancer really f***en sucks!!!

I am currently raising funds to support the search for improved treatments and to enhance the quality of life for survivors dealing with long-term effects. The journey includes enduring amputations, losing hair, experiencing diminished strength, waking up with nausea, suffering from headaches, and the anxiety that follows every medical appointment. The unpredictability of how one will feel each day is a reality of life after cancer that often goes unnoticed, as we are expected to remain strong, yet it weighs heavily on us.

Significant progress has been made in research, but there is still much work to be done! Therefore, I am fundraising and participating in walks for all those who have not survived, the survivors, and individuals currently confronting this dreadful challenge.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my family and friends who have supported me through the highs, lows, and everything in between. I love you all!
