For more than a decade, I've proudly walked in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in honor of my incredible mother, who lost her battle with breast cancer. Every year, I walked to keep her memory alive, to support research, and to help create a future where no family has to experience that kind of loss.

I never imagined that one day I would be walking as a breast cancer survivor myself.

In May 2025, I was diagnosed with Stage I breast cancer. What was once a walk for my mother has become a walk for both of us—and for every person and family whose lives have been touched by this disease.

This walk represents hope, resilience, breakthroughs in research, and the power of community. It is a reminder that behind every pink ribbon is a story, a family, and a reason to keep fighting.
