My journey has been anything but easy.

It began with a right breast lumpectomy in 2003, followed by another in 2006. Then, in May 2022, my life changed when I had a left breast lumpectomy and was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Just one month later, while trying to process the news that had turned my world upside down, I found out I was 4½ weeks pregnant. I was overwhelmed with fear, uncertainty, and so many questions about what the future would hold. But that little baby growing inside me became my greatest reason to keep going.

Through bilateral lumpectomies in August 2022, my pregnancy, and the birth of my beautiful Jaxxon in February 2023, I faced some of the hardest moments of my life.

And then, just three months after bringing him into this world, I underwent a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction in May 2023.

Through every surgery, every scar, every fear, and every uncertain moment, Jaxxon was my strength. He gave me something to fight for when I needed it most. His little smile, his love, and simply knowing I needed to be here for him carried me through more than he will ever know.

Today, I’m 3 years cancer-free.

My mastectomy changed my body. It changed my life. But it also gave me something priceless: the opportunity to keep living.

My scars are not reminders of what cancer took from me. They are reminders of what I survived, how far I’ve come, and the strength I found within myself—and through my son.

I never imagined this would be my story, but I’m incredibly proud of the woman who fought through every chapter of it.

And three years later, I’m still here—living, loving, growing, and grateful for every single day.

Jaxxon, you may never truly know how much strength you gave me before you even took your first breath. You were my light in one of the darkest chapters of my life, and I will forever be grateful that I got the chance to fight for this life with you.
