When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2023, I quickly learned that I had to lean into strengths I didn’t even know I had. One of the biggest was recognizing that I didn’t have to do this alone.

Soon after my diagnosis, I began a series of surgeries and treatments. And throughout my journey, from diagnosis through surgeries and everything that followed, I never felt alone. I was surrounded by the incredible support of my family, friends, coworkers, my kids’ schools, and even people I had never met. The list goes on.

I will be forever grateful for that support. It also gave me a deeper sense of purpose and inspired me to make a Pink Promise to myself, to other cancer heroes, and to everyone who joins this community: no one should have to face breast cancer alone, and together, we can fight for a better tomorrow.
