On July 31, 2025, just weeks before what was supposed to be my wedding, I was diagnosed with Stage III triple-negative breast cancer at 32 years old. In an instant, everything changed. Instead of planning a wedding, I began the year (plus) long journey of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery, radiation, and ongoing treatment.

The road has been anything but easy. There have been countless appointments, hospital stays, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty. Through it all, I've learned what resilience truly means. I've also experienced the incredible power of love, family, friends, and a community that has carried me through my hardest days.

Susan G. Komen's mission means so much to me because no one should have to face breast cancer alone. Research gives patients like me hope for better treatments and brighter futures.

Today, I'm walking not only to celebrate how far I've come, but to honor everyone whose lives have been touched by breast cancer: the survivors, those currently in treatment, and those we've lost. Every donation helps fund lifesaving research, patient support, and hope for the next person who has to hear the words, "you have breast cancer."
