My Story
On March 22, 2023, my doctor called with the four words I was dreading: you have breast cancer. Thanks to my amazing health care team, I’m cancer-free today, but my journey hasn’t ended. I’m three years into long-term treatment, with at least two more years to go. The hardest stuff is behind me, yes, AND I’m still managing my treatment every. single. day.
Susan G. Komen is doing the critical work to fund research that could mean no one else has to go through this. I’m leading my team, La Boobie Brigade, for our fourth Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. Because ending breast cancer IS more than pink. It takes the dedication of researchers, organizations like Komen, and importantly, donations from as many people as possible.
