In January 2025, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and my life changed forever. I went through 24 rounds of chemotherapy, 10 rounds of radiation, and a double mastectomy in October 2025. Behind those numbers are days of fear, pain, hope, and finding the strength to keep going.

This year, I’ve created a team to participate in the Susan G. Komen 5K. Every step will carry a piece of my story—but I’m running for so much more than myself.

I’m running for every woman who has faced breast cancer, every woman currently going through treatment, and every woman who has just heard the words, “You have breast cancer.” I’m also running in memory of those we have lost and for the people who love them.

Through sharing my story, I hope another woman feels less alone. There is a community beside you, ready to support you, stand with you, and keep moving forward with you.
