This one is personal.

Cancer has touched my life in a way I never imagined. I recently lost my best friend, Maria, after 40 years of friendship. She did not lose her life to breast cancer, but losing her has forever changed my heart and the way I look at cancer, research, awareness, and supporting the people and families fighting this disease.

In Maria’s memory, I joined the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk and committed myself to raising funds to support breast cancer research and help women and families who are facing a diagnosis today.

I know I can’t change what happened to Maria. But I can take the love, grief, and 40 years of memories I carry with me and turn them into something that may help someone else.

Every donation, no matter the amount, contributes to something bigger — advancing research, helping patients access care, and supporting families during one of the hardest chapters of their lives.

I’ll be walking with Maria in my heart and for every woman, friend, mother, daughter and family who has been impacted by cancer.
