My Story (aka 2026 can pound sand!)
This year has truly been a crucible for the Cowden Clan. It has tested us in ways that I never could have imagined. While some of our challenges continue, I am happy to report on this first day of October - the holy month of Breast Cancer Awareness - that I am out of active treatment, my chemo port has been removed, and while I am not the person I was before and though I will carry scars with me for the rest of my life, I did not let it break me. I am here. I am stronger than I ever could have imagined. And I will use this experience to fuel me as I support my community, share my experiences, and fight for a cure. Will you join me?
