My Story

Last year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk after losing my beloved sister, Mari, to breast cancer on July 13, 2025.

Mari was diagnosed in August 2023 with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She fought with incredible courage and strength until her very last day. This devastating disease changed my sister in so many ways—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

When I lost Mari, our entire family lost a piece of our hearts. I lost my sister. My mom lost her daughter. And my nieces lost their mother.

That is why I continue to stand with the breast cancer community and support this cause in Mari’s honor and memory.

Early detection can make a difference. Research, education, treatment, and resources are critical as we work toward better outcomes and, ultimately, a cure for this terrible disease.

Please consider joining our team and walking with us in honor and memory of Mari. Every step, every donation, and every show of support helps keep her memory alive and brings us closer to a future where fewer families have to experience this kind of loss.

Mari will never be forgotten, and I will never stop supporting this cause. 💗

Thank you for helping us honor her life, her courage, and her legacy.
