My Story
In 2022 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, to be specific with ductal carcinoma in situ, and everything in my life shifted in an instant. Fear didn't just visit me it lived with me. It followed me into every appointment, every treatment, every quiet moment when I wondered what my future would look like.
But even in the moments when I felt overwhelmed, my faith held me. It carried me through my lumpectomy, through my radiation treatments, through the nights when I prayed for strength I wasn't sure I had. My faith reminded me that I wasn't walking this journey alone.
Cancer changed me. It broke me open. And in that breaking, I found purpose.
This is my third year walking with Susan G. Komen, and I walk because I survived and because survival comes with responsibility. I walk for the women still fighting, for the families praying for miracles, and for the hope that one day no one will have to face this fear.
This is my story.
This is my why.
And with your support, my purpose becomes hope for someone else.
