I walk because I have seen firsthand just how much strength can exist in one person.

I walk for my friend Alicia, who faced breast cancer during what should have been one of the most joyful and exciting times of her life, pregnancy. Instead of only preparing to welcome a new baby, she was also fighting for her health, her future and the chance to watch her family grow.

And she did!!!

Meeting Alicia and being apart of her mission changed me. Her courage, resilience and determination inspire me to become more than a friend cheering from the sidelines. Today, I am incredibly proud to stand beside her as part of Journi for Two and to serve on its board, helping support other mothers who find themselves facing cancer during pregnancy and early motherhood.

That is why I walk.

I walk for Alicia.I walk for the moms currently fighting.I walk for the babies who need their mothers.I walk for the families praying for more time.And I walk for a future where no woman has to hear the words “you have breast cancer.”

Every step represents hope. Every dollar raised supports research, education, advocacy, and programs that bring us closer to a world without breast cancer.
