Our Story

My Story — T-BABY WARRIORS

My name is LaTrishia, and this year the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk means something deeply personal to me.

I am a 34-year-old single mother to an amazing 13-year-old daughter, and I am currently living with stage 4 breast cancer.

Cancer has changed so much about our lives. There have been appointments, treatments, uncertainty, difficult days, and moments when I have had to find strength I did not know I had. Through it all, my daughter has been one of my greatest reasons to keep fighting. She is an honor-roll student, my biggest supporter, and a constant reminder of why every day matters.

On October 10 at National Harbor, I will be surrounded by family, friends, supporters, and our team:

T-BABY WARRIORS

We chose that name because this journey is bigger than one person. It takes warriors standing beside warriors—family, friends, survivors, caregivers, medical teams, researchers, advocates, and complete strangers who simply choose to care.

We are walking for me, but we are also walking for every woman and family who has heard the words “you have breast cancer.”

We are walking for those currently receiving treatment.

We are walking for survivors.

We are walking for those living with metastatic breast cancer.

We are walking for the families and children who experience this journey alongside the person they love.

And we are walking in memory of those who are no longer here to walk with us.

Breast cancer has taught me that tomorrow is never promised, but it has also shown me how powerful love, community, faith, support, and hope can be.

That is why I joined the Susan G. Komen community.

Funds raised through this page support Komen’s work in breast-cancer research, patient support, education, advocacy, and programs designed to help people navigate the challenges that come with a breast-cancer diagnosis.

This isn’t just a walk for T-BABY WARRIORS.

It is a walk for more birthdays.

More graduations.

More family vacations.

More mother-daughter memories.

More breakthroughs.

More hope.

And ultimately, more lives.

If you are able, please consider making a donation to support our team and the Susan G. Komen mission.

No contribution is too small, and every person who donates, shares our page, joins our team, walks beside us, or simply keeps us in their prayers becomes part of the T-BABY WARRIORS family.

On October 10, when we walk at National Harbor, we will carry every one of you with us.

Thank you for standing with me, my daughter, my family, and everyone affected by breast cancer.

Together we fight.

Together we walk.

Together we hope.
