In 2024, at just 38 years old, I was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer. Since then, the cancer has spread to my bones and liver. As devastating as that diagnosis was, our family's journey became even more challenging when my sister was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in 2025 at the age of 40.

To say we were heartbroken would be an understatement. Facing breast cancer is a battle no one should have to fight, and watching someone you love walk a similar path makes the journey even more emotional. Through the fear, uncertainty, and countless challenges, we have found strength in one another, in our loved ones, and in a community that refuses to give up hope.

Today, we are turning our pain into purpose. We are each playing a part in helping Susan G. Komen® fulfill its mission to end breast cancer forever.

The money our team raises will help fund groundbreaking research to discover more effective treatments and, ultimately, cures. It will also provide vital patient support services that connect individuals and families with breast cancer education and information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance, and so much more.

Our story is one of resilience, courage, and hope. We walk not only for ourselves, but for every person currently facing breast cancer, every survivor, every thriver, and every family whose life has been touched by this disease.
