Thankful for early detection through a mammogram
In January 2024, I heard the words no one ever wants to hear: "You have breast cancer."
That diagnosis changed my life.
Although mine was diagnosed in an early stage, I still experienced the fear, the uncertainty, the waiting, the appointments, the treatments, and the incredible gratitude that comes from the support of family, friends, and organizations like Susan G. Komen. Today, I am thankful to say I'm cancer-free, and I never forget how fortunate I am.
Because of my journey, this cause is deeply personal. Many women are still battling, including my sister-in-law, Sheri.
I walk in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk to help ensure that no one has to face breast cancer alone. Every dollar raised helps fund life-saving research and provides real support for people going through treatment—from financial assistance to patient navigation and emotional support.
If my story has ever touched your heart, I would be so grateful if you'd consider making a tax-deductible donation to support my fundraising efforts. No gift is too small, and every donation brings us one step closer to a world without breast cancer.
Thank you for standing with me and with everyone affected by this disease.
