My Story
For my 50th birthday, I got breast cancer. After a normal mammogram, my doctor recommended I have an MRI due to dense tissue and a family history of breast cancer. Luckily, my insurance covered the cost and my cancer was found early. Early detection limited my treatment to a lumpectomy and radiation.
Twelve years later I am still cancer free. But, I know there are women not as lucky as me who can't afford the tests that can detect this disease early. Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised not only supports breakthrough research, but also providing emotional support, navigation to care or financial assistance to those facing breast cancer.
