My Story
Why do I walk?
It was six years ago, that I began my fight. On May 22, 2020, I found out I had breast cancer which was discovered through a routine mammogram. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I went through 20 weeks of treatment, two surgeries, PT and many days, weeks, months of trying to understand why this happened to me. My why was answered within the first year and my why answers why I choose to walk. I want to help others who have been touched by cancer...families, friends, co-workers, other survivors,...EVERYONE! I want to share my story in hopes people understand the importance of mammograms. I want to listen to others. I want to make a difference! This is my why! This is why I walk! This is my story! I am a survivor! Six years and counting...
I want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer and need your help. This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I am dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Please consider supporting me through a donation or joining my team and walking with me!
Your support helps us get ONE step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them.
In moments like this, your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
Hope, Fight, Cure
