I was officially diagnosed with breast cancer on January 6, 2025, triple negative to be exact. I did have a routine mammogram in July 2024 (3D and it was clear), felt discomfort early November 2024 and then biopsies in December.

This led to 16 rounds of chemo, immunotherapy, right lateral mastectomy, 16 radiation sessions, another mastectomy plus diep flap reconstruction and other surgeries and more scars (inside and out). During this time, to learn why someone "young and healthy" might have developed TNBC, I did genetic testing which showed the BRCA2 gene mutation.

• Knowledge is power: This led me to make some additional decisions along the way AND to be proactive with my health journey.

Obviously I'm leaving out parts of my story not because I don't want to share (reach out and I will share every single detail), rather the focus of our team is the value of:

I will never be who I was before (sometimes I don't recognize that carefree person) but I do know I want (or I need!) this to be bigger than me, bigger than my experience.
