I am a 14 year stage 3 Breast Cancer Survivor. I am raising money this year because I grieve the dear friends & family I have lost to this dreadful disease & because I continue to know & love women with recent diagnosis's. I have met many Survivors throughout my 14 year journey. We have walked this journey hand in hand. Without them, I don't know where I would be. They have mentored me & shown me how to put one foot in front of the other. They are brave women. They are strong women. They will tell you they are only brave & strong because they have no other choice. Each time someone I love receives this diagnosis, the pain is fresh & real. I become unnerved inside. My heart cries out to God. It seems that no one is immune to Breast Cancer. It robs you of much. It exposes you to things & people you would never know. You will find precious gifts along the way, but your losses will be vast.
