5 years, 4 Walks, and 1 Huge Reason to Celebrate
This is my 4th year out of the past 5 participating in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. In February 2020, I was diagnosed with stage 3A invasive ductal carcinoma. I went through chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and targeted therapy, and I continue to take a hormone therapy medication. Today, I am incredibly grateful and proud to say I am disease free! This journey has changed my life in so many ways, and it's one of the reasons this cause means so much to me. Every step we take and every dollar we raise helps fund critical-research, support patients, and bring hope to so many individuals and families facing breast-cancer. This year, my team Kathy’s Pink Passion Posse will walk in honor of two incredible women, my friends, Jamie Metz and Michelle DePaulo, who have both faced this disease over the past year. One battled triple-negative breast cancer, while the other is fighting triple-positive breast cancer. Both women are the epitome of strength, resilience, and determination. We walk to show them they are never alone. Every step we take turns our support for them into hope for a cure. Our team's goal this year is $3615. If we reach this goal, our team’s 4-year total raised for breast cancer research will be an amazing $15,000! That impact is only possible because of the generosity and support of people like you. Will you join our fight to create a world where there is no more breast cancer? Whether it's a donation, sharing this post, or walking alongside us, every bit of support truly makes a difference. Please consider donating to my team and helping us move one step closer to ending this disease-for good.
Together, we can, and we will find a cure and breast cancer! Thank you for the support!!
