Dear Komen Donor Friends!

It’s that time of year again!  I am all registered for the Komen MORE THAN PINK WALK and again inviting friends and family to please consider making tax-deductible donations to my fundraising efforts that support Komen’s mission, and our joint mission to end breast cancer FOREVER!

Mom & I started collecting pledges and attending Komen walks in 2000 after losing my cousin’s wife, Wanda, – a young mother of 3, to breast cancer. This tragic loss for our family was our call to action. While much has changed in our lives over the past 26 years, unfortunately the fight to end breast cancer remains relentless.  So, Bob and I continue the annual May tradition Mom & I started more than a quarter century ago, by walking alongside thousands or other breast cancer warriors in solidarity, raising funds for Komen.  It’s a somber and humbling experience walking with those who’ve lost and those currently battling the disease. But it’s also joyful and inspiring seeing so many survivors celebrating with friends and family.
