As the caption of this team. I look forward to all of the support at just 28 years old I was diagnosed with breast cancer. 

I did a lot of praying and a lot of reflection. Reminding myself that storms don’t last forever and if I kept my faith in due season I’ll have joy. That’s what kept me strong and kept me in good spirits knowing that I still had a lot of life to look forward to despite what I was facing.

What drives me to keep moving forward:

Knowing that I am still young and I still have a lot of life left in me. Being able to have to me I call it a fresh start and a new beginning. My life post cancer has been so rewarding, so knowing that even though something so traumatic can happen, there is still beauty in my journey in life, I was able to find myself, my voice and my purpose through all of this. Also, my support system. God prepared such an amazing support system for me, because of them I can keep pushing and keep looking forward to better days.

Helping others:

Being able to share my story means a lot to me, but also to show people that without a test you won’t have a testimony. I knew that when I got my cancer diagnosis God was preparing me for an assignment that was bigger than me. I often reference Job in the bible a lot. Because even when your health, your mental state, the ball of emotions, losing parts of yourself, finding a new friend group and adjusting to a new normal, God is still faithful. I hope my story inspire other women that even though we are in a fight of our lives, there is a life so rewarding still waiting for us.

Final thoughts:

Remind yourself that you may have cancer, but cancer does not have you. Keep praying, keep trusting and keep smiling. Even when the days are long and you feel alone, know that you have someone thinking of you. Life is still worth Living and making the most of each day.
