Our family + friends are walking More Than Just Pink with hearts full of love, remembrance, and purpose.
We walk in honor of our sister, Cristina, who bravely battled cancer and passed away on July 26, 2022. Cristina was so much more than her diagnosis—she was a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a light to everyone who knew her. Cancer may have been part of her story, but it will never define who she was.
Our walk team is called “Ricky’s Daughter,” a name that holds deep meaning for us. Cristina passed away on the very same month and day as our father, Ricardo. While that date will always carry pain, we find comfort in believing that our dad came to take her from her suffering, and that they are now together—watching over us and keeping each other company.
Cristina left behind her two beautiful babies, Madison and Chunky, who are her greatest legacy. We walk for them. We walk so they know how deeply their mom is loved, how strong she was, and how she will never be forgotten.
This walk is more than just pink ribbons or miles on a path. It is our way of processing our grief, honoring Cristina’s life, and raising awareness so that one day fewer families have to endure this kind of loss. Every step we take is filled with memory, love, and hope.
