My connection to breast cancer began in 1980 when I was just 10 years old and my mom passed away from metastatic disease at age 36. Years later, my stepmom was diagnosed—but today she is cancer‑free.

Because of this journey, Susan G. Komen’s work is deeply personal to me. Komen supports patients through financial assistance, navigation services, and guidance on local and state resources, while also funding critical research.
