As a breast cancer survivor and fighter, I know the value in having support around you to get through one of the scariest times of your life.  When I was diagnosed in December of 2022, it was terrifying as breast cancer did not run in my family, and I did not know anyone personally who had gone through it.  Fortunately, I had the support of my family and colleagues at work to help me through my treatment over the next two years of surgeries, radiation and medication.  I am thankful to be recurrence free, and want to ensure others have the support they need.  Komen provides financial support for women facing this devastating disease and connections to empower them to fight.

I have met amazing people, friends and supporters through my role on the Executive Leadership Council for Komen, and been truly amazed at the power of this group.  The St. Louis More Than Pink Walk is an empowering and humbling event, and I would encourage you to come and experience it for yourself.
