Breast cancer has touched my family across generations, and this year I am walking in loving memory of my grandmother, my aunt, and others we’ve lost along the way. While Hope Rises has walked many times before, this will be my first walk since losing my aunt, and only my third since losing my grandmother, and it carries a different weight — and a deeper meaning. 

I walk to honor their strength, their resilience, and the love they gave so freely. I also walk for the people still fighting, and for future generations who deserve a world where breast cancer no longer steals mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends.
