My Story
Earlier this year, I was conducting a routine self-breast exam when I noticed a lump. I immediately contacted my doctor, who sent me for imaging that ultimately confirmed the news no one wants to hear: I had breast cancer. With no family history or genetic markers and a clear mammogram the year prior, this diagnosis came as a surprise.
Within days, I quickly assembled a team of incredible professionals at Jupiter Medical Center and Florida Cancer Specialists -- thanks to friends at Susan G. Komen -- who mapped out a plan to tackle this disease head on. This swift action, coupled with a positive attitude and exceptional fearlessness, are what saved my life.
I have successfully completed six rounds of chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. I will continue to receive immunotherapy through March, and thankfully, have been declared cancer free.
This journey has been one of courage, community, and fierce love -- for my family, my health, and my future. I am not just fighting breast cancer. I am showing my daughters what it means to be unafraid, to take action, and to never give up.
As a 2026 Warrior in Pink, I look forward to raising awareness about the importance of being proactive and advocating for oneself, especially among young women.
I hope you will join me in these efforts. Will you consider joining my team for the 2026 Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk or making a donation today?
Together, we can make a difference.
