This year changed me.
Like so many others, I never expected to hear the words “you have breast cancer.” Yet here I am—standing, walking forward, and choosing hope every single day.
My journey has been one of grace and grit.
Grace in the quiet moments when fear crept in.
Grace in the kindness, prayers, messages, meals, and check-ins from friends, family, coworkers, and my incredible community.
And grit—the kind you don’t know you have until you’re forced to dig deep, show up anyway, and keep going.
There were days filled with uncertainty, exhaustion, and vulnerability—but also days filled with courage, laughter, and a deeper appreciation for life than I’ve ever known. Cancer may have shaken my world, but it did not take my spirit.
I am proud to walk as a Warrior in Pink, not just for myself, but for every woman and family affected by breast cancer—those currently fighting, those who have survived, and those we carry in our hearts.
I walk to honor research.
I walk for early detection.
I walk for hope.
I walk because no one should face this journey alone.
If you are able, please consider supporting my Susan G. Komen walk by donating, sharing, or joining my team. Every step and every dollar truly matters—and your support means more than I can put into words.
Thank you for lifting me up when I needed it most.
Thank you for walking with me.
Thank you for being part of my Grace & Grit journey.
With love and gratitude,
Kristin
