My Story
This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I participated in my first walk about 30 years ago, in honor or a dear friend. I participated in many more walks over the years, then it started to hit even closer to home.  More friends, neighbors, then it started touching family members....within the past few years my sister in law, my sister, another sister in law were diagnosed with breast cancer. I remember thinking who was going to be next and it was ME! It's a scary road but I consider myself very blessed.  I had an outstanding medical team that guided me through it and calmed my fears.  My family, neighbors, and friends were amazing. My family has learned more about Breast Cancer then we really care to know.  I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
Will you please join me in this fight by making your donation today? Will you join my team?
PS- the picture above was taken Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the MORE THAN PINK WALK in West Palm Beach. My surgery was the Tuesday of that week, January 21, 2025. My girls had created their own team and were going to surprise me. No one including myself thought I would be doing the walk. I was blessed.
