As many know, I unfortunately lost my mom May 3rd of this year to metastatic breast cancer. My beautiful mother, Maribel was originally diagnosed in 2017 with breast cancer. She fought hard, had a double mastectomy, endured countless rounds of chemo and entered remission. In April 2022, she got diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, the cancer metastasized into her brain, bones and liver. She went through hell, but she fought, HARDER than ever. Many different forms of chemotherapy. Ones that made her bed bound, in extreme pain, throw up every 5 minutes, unable to hold food down, made her lose 45 pounds to where she was literally skin and bones, miss out on big moments with her grandkids (which were her everything). Through all that, she fought. In the end, it wasn?t enough.
The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education & information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
