My Story
This year, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. It?s been a year of treatment for me - chemo, double mastectomy, radiation and other surgeries are waiting for me ahead. To say the least, it?s been a very challenging year, but I?m still standing. I decided to join the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. Bringing awareness to breast cancer and raising funds to help find a cure are of paramount importance to me. I wish this on NO ONE. 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer within their lifetime. I want that number lower and you should too. For every woman in your life ? We deserve better and I hope to help raise awareness and funds to do so.
