why I walk
My mom was the strongest person I've ever known. She faced breast cancer not once, not twice, but three times with courage, humor, and a spark that never dimmed. Each diagnosis was a battle, but she refused to let cancer steal her joy. She kept laughing, loving, and living life to the fullest.
She was full of life always planning her next adventure, exploring new places, and making friends everywhere she went. Whether she was traveling across the country or discovering hidden gems close to home, she had a way of making every moment feel special.
When her cancer became metastatic, she still chose to live on her own terms. She found strength in the people she loved, joy in new experiences, and gratitude in everyday moments. Even in the hardest times, she made everyone around her feel lighter just by being there.
In January, we said goodbye to her but her energy, laughter, and love for life live on. This page is dedicated to her and to everyone fighting, surviving, or remembering.
I'm walking for her and for the hope that one day, no family will have to lose someone they love to breast cancer.
