Walking for someone's mom
Hi, I?m Jim Barry, and I?m participating in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in honor of my mother, Robin Marie Quinker.
She passed away when I was 16 years old.
The picture above shows the kind of person she was ? intelligent and professional, full of life, and always working to make the world a better place.
I would like to continue that legacy.
Why I?m Walking
Breast cancer is a devastating disease that touches nearly everyone ? whether it?s a family member, a friend, a coworker, or someone in your community.
Sometimes it?s close to home. Sometimes it?s someone you hardly know ? until you see the ambulance in front of their house.
The good news is that you have the power to help us fund life-saving research and critical patient support services right now. You can make a difference with even a small donation.
The Urgent Need: Why Your Donation Matters
The Scale of the Fight:
~42,170 deaths in 2025 in the U.S. from breast cancer, and ~316,950 new invasive cases in 2025.
The disease is complex and aggressive, and while progress has been made, the fight is far from over.
The Mission: Your donation funds Susan G. Komen's 360-degree approach to ending breast cancer, focusing on Conquering aggressive and deadly breast cancers to help people live longer, better lives.
Direct Impact of Your Support
The funds raised through the MORE THAN PINK Walk are critical, as they support both immediate patient needs and long-term scientific breakthroughs:
By supporting our walk, you are joining a powerful community and translating hope into tangible action that provides care today and drives research for a cure tomorrow.
Join the movement. Every step and every dollar makes a difference.
