My Story
Walk/Strut in Honor of Shirley Owsley
Supporting Our Family, Uplifting Our Community
Family is the foundation of strength, love, and unity. In times of loss, we come together not only to grieve, but to uplift one another—to remember, to honor, and to celebrate the lives of those who shaped us. Our beloved Shirley Owsley was the glue that held our family together—a source of unwavering support, grace, and resilience.
This year, we walk in her memory.
Join us on October 25 at 8 AM in Louisville, Kentucky, for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, beginning at Slugger Field Stadium and winding through the beautiful Waterfront Park. We walk with purpose and passion—for Shirley, and for every life touched by breast cancer.
This year’s walk is also a fundraiser in support of our dear friend, Deacon, father, and Financial Advisor Chris, as he courageously battles his own health journey. Your steps will help honor Shirley’s legacy and uplift someone who has poured so much into others.
Leading up to the event, we invite family and friends near and far to walk in their own communities. Snap a photo, post it on Facebook, and tag us to share your love. Together, let’s show that distance doesn’t divide us—love and unity endure.
After the walk, my mother and I welcome you to our home for light refreshments and family fellowship. Let’s celebrate life, togetherness, and the power of showing up for one another.

Let’s walk. Let’s strut. Let’s stand together—in unity, in remembrance, and in action.
