My mom was the strongest woman I’ve ever known. She fought long and hard against breast cancer with a courage that inspired everyone around her. Through the treatments, the ups and downs, and the difficult days, she never lost her spirit or her love for life.

Even though she is no longer here with me, her fight lives on in my heart. She passed away from breast cancer, but not before teaching me the meaning of strength, resilience, and unconditional love.

That is why I walk. I walk to honor her life, her battle, and the love she gave so freely. I walk for the hope that one day no child has to lose their mother to this disease. And I walk to support every family and fighter still on this journey.

Every step I take is for her, and for the countless others who deserve a future without breast cancer.
