It?s that time of year again?when I lace up my shoes and walk with purpose in the MORE THAN PINK Walk for Susan G. Komen. This year?s event will be held on Saturday, October 18th at SeaWorld San Antonio, and I?d be honored to have your support once again.

Thanks to your incredible generosity last year, I surpassed my fundraising goal?and I was deeply moved by the love and encouragement you showed. Every step I take is a step toward hope, healing, and a future without breast cancer.

I walk to raise awareness about the power of early detection, which truly can save lives. Please, encourage the women in your life to schedule that mammogram. I?ve seen firsthand how early detection gave friends and loved ones the chance to fight?and win?their battles with breast cancer.

But most of all, I walk to honor my beautiful mom, whose memory lives in every stride I take. I miss her every day. And I walk with the hope that one day, no one will have to say goodbye to someone they love because of this disease.
