My Story
Beautiful experience at the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk this morning. There?s no time like right now to make a tax-deductible donation, $10, $25, $50 ?every dollar spends & matters. Donation link in comments
Here?s why I?m asking for your help to support research to end breast cancer & support those living with breast cancer today:
In December of 2023, I learned my routine mammogram results were abnormal. Follow up imaging was scheduled in February (a really long 8 weeks later). Results were abnormal and ?moderately suspicious for malignancy?.
One month later (a really really long 4 weeks), a biopsy was completed. 6 days later I learned the results were benign?psuedoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH).
The relief I felt was kind of indescribable. While these circumstances were unfolding, I didn?t tell anyone other than Stuart and my young adult kids.
I thought about that a lot today as I walked the walk today. There were many women walking, some with friends and family and some on their own. Like me. But I didn?t feel alone. I felt exuberant and proud to be part of a community dedicated to raising money and awareness to fight breast cancer & make sure no one fights it alone.
I hope you, my friends and family, will make a donation today. EVERY dollar spends and TOGETHER our dollars make a difference.
